CurbAppeal

Andrew’s 6 Step Guide to Curb Appeal

6 Step Guide to Curb Appeal that will RAISE your sales price while shortening your Days on Market while not costing you an arm and a leg.

Step 1: An IMMACULATE Front Yard

While your home is on the market you need to keep your grass cut and trimmed neatly. This includes edging around the sidewalks. Pull all weeds. Refresh any mulch or remove debris from rock beds or flower gardens. Trim all hedges and bushes to have clean shapes and never allow them to cover your windows. Add season BRIGHT colored flowers.

BONUS TIP: Cut your grass on the diagonal, it looks sharp and shows home buyers you have pride in your home.

Step 2: Welcoming Paths

Keep your sidewalks, pathways and porches swept. You should do this daily. If it’s autumn remove all leaves and if it’s winter remove all snow and ice.

Step 3: A Clean Home

If the outside of your home is dirty what are potential home buyer’s first impressions going to be. Power wash the exterior of your home. (Even if you don’t think it needs it.)

Step 4: Add the Charm

Paint your front door so it looks clean and bright. Buy new hardware for the front door, including a new mailbox. This is the moment before the potential buyers step foot into what could be their new home. Let’s make them feel good.

Step 5: Shine Bright

When the buyers are in the house, they are going to look out the windows as they try to imagine themselves living in your home. Make sure the windows are cleaned and the window treatments are neat.

Step 6: “Findablity”

Make sure the home numbers are easily visible. Nothing is more frustrating than not being able to find what you’re looking for. While you’re at it let’s update them to something new and creative.
